Regional Climate Projections Report
What is a regional climate projections report?
The report provides historical and projected climate information for 2030 and 2050 based on the SILO climate dataset and the Consistent Climate Scenarios projections data developed by the Queensland Government. This is based on climate modelling conducted for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report (AR5). The climate information presented in this report includes rainfall, evaporation, vapour pressure and mean, minimum and maximum temperatures.
What is included in this report?
The Regional Climate Projections report includes:
- a map showing the location of the selected Lot on Plan
- a summary for the historical and projected annual climate
- graphs for historical and projected monthly median climate
- graphs for historical and projected annual climate range
- information on how to interpret the annual climate summary plot.

For a selected Lot on Plan or adjoining Lots on Plan in Queensland, the Regional Climate Projections report:
- Is generated for the immediate district surrounding the selected Lot(s) on Plan.
- Provides historical and projected climate information for 2030, 2050 and 2070 using the SILO climate dataset and Consistent Climate Scenarios (CCS) projections data developed by the Queensland Government.
- Shows climate information which includes: rainfall, evaporation, temperature (mean, minimum, maximum) and vapour pressure (a measure of humidity).
Using CCS projections data, this report shows a range of projected climate information for the years 2030, 2050 and 2070 calculated by a range of Global Climate Models. Both monthly and annual projections are provided. The information can be used to evaluate the likely changes in key climate variables (such as rainfall and temperature).
